• Expand access to structured afterschool programs focused on sports, music, arts, academic enrichment, leadership development, and mentorship.
• Support college preparatory and career-readiness programs that help students explore multiple pathways for long-term success.
• Strengthen and expand career and technical education (CTE) academies that allow students to graduate with industry-recognized certifications, practical skills, and direct workforce opportunities.
• Increase partnerships between schools, unions, local businesses, trade organizations, and workforce programs to create stronger apprenticeship and internship pipelines.
• Support hands-on learning opportunities in technology, healthcare, energy, skilled trades, entrepreneurship, and emerging industries.
• Encourage community-centered youth engagement initiatives that promote positive development, civic participation, and long-term stability.
